Director Dharani’s last film Kuruvi’ didn’t do any good to him and he went into hibernation. For the past two years post ‘Kuruvi’, Dharani was seen only at film functions and events. But the director who re-wrote some rules for action entertainers with lively films like ‘Dhill’, ‘Dhool’ and ‘Ghilli’ is rising again with vengeance.

But it is in Tollywood before Kollywood. Dharani has started work for his Telugu film ‘Merupu’ with Ram Charan Teja in lead role. ‘Kanimozhi’ girl Shahzahn Padamsee is the heroine.

Ram Charan Teja plays a football player in the film and to get a credible touch for the character, Dharani has hired an Australian Football Team coach to train Ram for the role.

Dharani will return to Tamil after completing this film. He will join hands with his best buddy and lucky hero Vikram in a big budget movie later this year. Waiting for the pace and race.
