Born on May 20, 1983, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, grandson of the thespian, the late NT Ramarao, and the son of Nandamuri Harikrishna, fondly called as the ‘Young Tiger’, is presently busy with his ‘Shakti’ shooting directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Aswinidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies.

Though he made his debut as child artiste in ‘Brahmarshi Viswamitra’, he went unnoticed by anyone. However, he got recognition with ‘Ramayanam’ directed by Gunasekhar, wherein he played the role of Lord Rama.

For the first time, he kept grease to his face as a hero and faced the camera on November 16, 2001 for ‘Ninnu Choodalani’ produced by Ramoji Rao on the banner of Usha Kiron Movies. The film did not do well at the Box Office. But he gave a hit like ‘Student No. 1’. Next, he played hero in ‘Subbu’ and it ran as an average movie.

However, it is ‘Aadi’ directed by VV Vinayak turned out to be a blockbuster and from then onwards, NTR gained the star image. Again he faced hiccups in the form of ‘Allari Ramudu and Naaga’. Then once again, NTR proved his might with ‘Simhadri’ directed by SS Rajamouli. Altogether he played in 17 films so far.

His last two films released this year – ‘Adurs and Brindavanam’ were hits and thus his 10th year was proved successful in his career.
