With the completion of shooting of ‘Orange’, Ram Charan now has to concentrate on his next film ‘Merupu’ under the direction of Dharani.

The hero is playing the role of a football player, who struggles hard to earn recognition to the Indian team, as the Indian football team is ranked well below the mark in international arena. It is worth mentioning here that his father Chiranjeevi also played the role of a goal-keeper in a football match in ‘Vijetha’.

However, in the latest film of Ram Charan, there is a twist and the director wanted to explain and debate in detail, the politics in the game and selection of players, besides the match-fixings that occur in football matches.

Kajal Agarwal is pairing up with Ram Charan in this flick, while Devisri Prasad would score music for this film. The first schedule of the film was completed some time ago and the unit is gearing up to launch its second schedule in the last week of November.
