Even those in the film industry are not aware that S P Jananathan, the man behind ‘serious movies’ like ‘Iyarkai’, ‘Ee’ and ‘Peranmai’, is a man with a very good humour sense.

And those who had the taste of his jovial side are Sasikumar, Mysskin and Samuthirakani, who accompanied the filmmaker to Norway to take part in an international film festival.

Says Sasikumar, “We initially maintained a distance with Jananathan sir since he is senior to us. We also thought that he was a serious man. But we understood later that he is a man with an excellent sense of humour.”

“We had a whale of time in Norway”, the director-actor-producer says and adds: “the jokes he used to crack were extremely hilarious and the trip was no doubt a memorable experience for all of us”.
