The Vijayanagaram Police have filed cases against the film exhibitors in that region for displaying obscene posters of movies.

The Police have filed cases against exhibitors of ‘Jhummandhi Nadham’ and Vandemataram Srinivas’ debut directorial venture ‘Badmash’. Apparently the posters were obscene and vulgar in presentation. A kiss scene of the former and a young boy urinating in the latter were found to be obscene.

Ironically ‘Jhummandhi Nadham’ completes its 50 days and the posters have been on walls after release.

The posters are supposed to be designed and printed by producers. These printed posters have to be certified by censor authorities before being displayed. One still wonders why the exhibitors are brought in to the picture.
