After receiving calls from Balakrishna’s fans from all over the state, producer of ‘Simha’, Paruchuri Prasad has come out with a plan to combat the piracy menace.

Sources say that Prasad got calls from fans who spotted a few copies of the recently released movie. Hence to fight the video pirates, Paruchuri Prasad has planned to offer cash rewards to people who find the culprits and bring them to justice.

A reward of Rs.2000 would be given to the first three of each of the districts in Andhra Pradesh state, if a case has been booked in a local police station. Additionally if the perpetrators are found guilty and are brought to the court, then a reward of Rs.2 Lakhs would be given to the people. Condition that is applicable is, the reward would be given to only the first three people in each of the districts of the state.

Sources add that a sum of Rs.2 Crores has been allotted by the producer for the rewards. It is an interesting way to combat piracy that is being a menace to the producers. ‘Simha’ is currently the highest grosser for the year. The opening weekend saw collections amounting to Rs.27 crores.
