Veteran Bharathiraja is on a mission and is out to show he hasn’t lost that touch of his that altered the course of Tamil cinema history in 1977. Iyakunar Imayam has completed all his acting assignments and is set to do again what he does best.

Bharathiraja has started the pre-production work for his latest directorial venture which has been titled 'Appan Aatha'. As a casting coup Bharathiraja has signed the revolutionary actor-director trio Cheran, Ameer and Seeman for his film. They play three brothers in this village subject. Bharathiraja has promised equal footage for all the three aces who are out to prove a point - they are as good actors as good directors.

The casting is enticing. The director is already etched in our minds. What more can we ask but to present the film as soon as possible.
