Karthi’s forthcoming film has been released in Tamil as ‘Paiyya’ and had created a record of sorts by collecting 12 crores in the first three days. Tamannah is starring opposite Karthi in this film and Pandemkodi fame Lingusamy directed the film. KE Gnyanavel produced the film on Studiogreen Banner.

Buoyed by the success in Tamil, producer Gnyanvel is planning to release the film in Telugu in the second half of April.

Talking about the film, hero Karthi said, “Lingusamy has come up with excellent characterization in Awara. Like my earlier film ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’, Awara also will enthrall Telugu audience.”

Tamannah says, “Awara is the film which I liked most after Happydays. It’s great working with Karthi and I am confident that this film will become a huge hit in Telugu as in Tamil.”

Besides to Karthi and Tamannah, stars like Milind Soman and Sonia also appear in the movie. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music. Vennelakanti penned Telugu dialogues.
