The big daddy of 'village movies' is back. Kasthuri Raja, father of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush, is ready to take the megaphone again and this time, his film is going to have a different knot.

Titled 'Pandiya Perarasi', the movie would revolve between ancient and contemporary worlds, according to sources. "The script is unique and the filmmaker is confident of bouncing back in a big way," they say.

And guess who is playing the title role? She is Ashima, who has acted in films like Prabhu Deva starrer 'Aladdin' and Vijayakanth's magnum opus 'Ramana' directed by A R Murugadoss.

"Ashima is happy to make a comeback in Tamil. Apart from 'Pandiya Perarasi', she is also there in an upcoming film titled 'Thambi Arjuna'. Both the scripts have got enough scope for her to perform," sources add.
