We have heard of stars taking the distribution of their films in the past, offering concession to the failed producers and now for the first time in Kannada the artistes and technicians are taking 50 percent of their remuneration. The method tried out in Bollywood and in Telugu film industry is now coming to Kannada filmdom.

‘Production No 1’ producer Surendra Reddy an ace cameraman in his maiden film is giving only 50 percent of remuneration to artists and technicians initially. This Kannada film is starring the handsome hunk Raghu Mukerjee and Pooja Gandhi in the lead role.

Addressing the media on Friday afternoon in Bangalore Surendra Reddy says he believes in hard work and sincerity. After the film makes profit the team members would get their share equally and that would be more than the 50 percent of their remuneration.

Ashley and Abilash are scoring six songs for this film. ‘Anu’ Kannada film director Shiva Ganapathi is wielding the megaphone. He is planning to complete the shooting in March and intends to release the film in April this year.

Raghu Mukerjee of last year ‘Savaari’ plays a music lover with corporate sensibilities in him. Pooja Gandhi is village belle in the beginning says the role is challenging for her.
