With a song being pictured on Shwetha Basu Prasad, the shooting of Nikhil-starrer Kalavar King would be complete. The film is slated for a release this month end. In the film, Nikhil plays a wisecrack, whose forte is making clever, if cunning, talk. The film was earlier slated for a Sankranthi release, but has been postponed.

Speaking at the time of launching the film, the producers Chandrasekhara Rao and Dammulapati Srinivasa Rao had said, "Kalavar King is the apt title going by the hero's characterisation. The title is already on the lips of the audience even prior to release."

The film is set in the backdrop of city and the hero is someone who has no iota of thought for studies or family. All he knows is tricking people. Kalavar King shows what happens when such a youth falls in love.

Nikhil is playing a naughty role and comedians like Ali, Venumadhav, Dharmavarapu, Raghubabu will be seen. Kashi Vishwanath, seen playing father's role in some films is also playing a character in the film.
