Director Shekar Kammula is someone who can make 'no one' a 'some one.' The ladies who act as female leads in his films are bound to be flooded with offers. Kamalinee Mukherjee achieved instant fame after her debut in Anand. She repeated the magic with another of Kammula's movie Godavari. Though she became choosy later, she was critically-acclaimed.

Ditto with Thamanna Bhatia, who went to become a star heroine in both Telugu and Tamil languages. If in Tamil, she got to act with top heroes there, in Telugu, she bagged films like 'Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kastham'.

Kammula's forthcoming film Leader has Priya Anand, a Mumbai girl, debuting as heroine. Surprisingly, the girl has in her kitty another big ticket film, though she has not yet been accepted by the audience. Even before her first film released, how could she land in a big one? Industry observers are of the view that it is because of the Kammula factor in her career. Dil Raju, who is producing Ram's next Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, signed on Priya Anand, probably fully convinced that she would be a decent performer.
