After it's famous entry in the MAMI, where the film was appreciated by many talented personalities like Charan (Kollywood), Sotha Vuru is all set to make its way to the 14th International Kerala Film Festival, which will take place from December 11-18 in Trivandram.
Directed by P Suneel Kumar, the film raised its voice against the inhuman face of modernity and development, which means devastation to many in the form of losing of lands and livelihood. The debilitating consequences the poor face when the whole village's land is sold out to corporates in the name of Special Economic Zones, was well presented. A graveyard-caretaker (LB Sriram) and a prostitute (Theertha) are the most important characters of the film.
LB's acting and powerful dialogue have been hailed by many. Of the 20 Indian films shortlisted for the IKFF, Sontha Vuru is the only Telugu film entry. The film was produced by Y Ravindra Babu and K Basi Reddy.
