Tamil Nadu Kalaimamani Awards Ceremony

Few months ago the Tamil Nadu Government announced the list of awardees for Kalaimamani award. The list had Tamil writer A. Madhavan, poet Sirpi, drummer Sivamani, Aishwarya Dhanush, Bharath, V. Pasupathi, Meera Jasmine, Nayantara, Asin, music director Harris Jayaraj, art director P. Krishnamurthy in it who have made a significant contribution to their respective fields.

Moreover three senior artistes, who had won the award, would be given a purse of Rs 15,000 each.

Now the awards are ready to be presented in a colourful ceremony today at 6 pm in Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai. The Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr Surjit Singh Barnala will present the awards while the plaque will be given by our Chief Minister Karunanidhi.
