Kadhal Kadhai was a Tamil film that came with the message that women should not be viewed as sex objects. It was an average grosser at the box office, but had invited the wrath of the critics for its explicit depiction of nudity and tasteless vulgarity.

A remake version is coming before the Telugu audience on December 4. Titled Manmadhulu, it stars newcomers Atirupan and Preethi Rangayani, while Stephie and Babylona play other roles. The film is directed by Velu Raja who has also penned the screenplay. The producer S Suresh Chowdary has pinned hopes on this voyeuristic film.

This film is being touted to be a thought-provoking film. The best part is that Illayaja has lent the music. Made on the banner of Surya Powerful Films, the film has also elements of soft romance and love.

We hope that it is not going to be a sex-caper like its original and changes to the script have been sensibly made keeping in view the larger audience.
