Ram Gopal Varma's Raktha Charithra has been in news every other day. Though this one is not his next film (Rann is the one releasing in January 2010), media in Andhra Pradesh has been giving much space to the film obviously because it is based on the life of TDP politico Paritala Ravindra, who was assassinated in January 2005.

Starring Vivek Oberoi in the main lead, the Hindi version will have Shotgun Shatrughan Sinha playing the character of N T Rama Rao, the Tollywood thespian who was the founder-president of Telugu Desam Party and Chief Minister of AP.

Saying how it was a big challenge to enact an actor like NTR on the screen, Sinha said he would try to do it effectively by enlisting all his acting might.

Another decisive comment from Shatruji: Raktha Charithra is akin to the Mahabharatha in idea and spirit.
