‘Colours’ Swathi in the lead, the successful Tamil film ‘Subrahmanyampuram’ was made in the direction of Sesi Kumar, who also plays the hero in the film. It is now dubbed into Telugu as ‘Ananthapuram 1980’. Currently the dubbing works are in progress for this produce of M.Ranganath on Simhapuri Talkies banner.

The story set in 1980’s time, evolves from elements like friendship, love and vengeance. As the backdrop has lot of resemblance to the lifestyle in Ananthapuram the makers say they have christened the film accordingly, and it has nothing relating to factionism.

James Vasanth composed the tunes for the lyrics composed by Vennelakanti. Dialogues are penned by Shashank Vennelakanti. The movie is expected to be ready by next month for release.
