Tollywood is gearing up to release three films on February 20th:

‘Drona’ starring Nithin and Priyamani, Tarakarathna’s ‘Venkatadri’ and ’16 Days’ with Charmme will be the three entries to compete on the day.

After the forgettable dud ‘Hero’, Nithin is desperate for a hit with ‘Drona’. The movie made on a massive budget is an action story which might do some good for the actor. Taking no chances, Priyamani has been ushered to pose as glamorous as possible and Rakhi Sawanth is there to add the spicy touch. It’s a short wait to find out if this action plus glamour formula works out for Nithin.

Coming next is Charmme’s ’16 Days’ which is an action flick sprinkled with suspense directed by Prabhu Solomon. The plot is what happens for 16 days in the lead pairs’ life. The male lead Aravind and director debuts with this film which is also getting released dubbed in Tamil as ‘Ladam’. The winner of Best Actress of 2007 in the Nandi Awards, Charmme is under high speculation among the trade circle after the hit ‘Mantra’.

Last but not least, Tarakarathna is ardently hoping ‘Venkatadri’ to make a mark in the box office. He is coming back after a break in his home production by his father. Coming from family of late NTR and an active promoter of TDP, Tarakarathna is still waiting for his catch in the industry. Let’s hope he gets his wish fulfilled this time as expectations are looming over this film.

Film goers will have a treat in the weekend with three films hitting the screens and we have to wait for few days to know the winner.
