The super hit movie of this month is Maska starring Ram, Hansika and Sheela in the lead cast. Directed by B. Gopal, MS Raju has produced the film on Sumanth Art Productions banner.
True to his nickname Sankranthi Raju, Maska is being rained with collections at the box office since its release. The producer held a Press Meet on 18th Jan, Sunday to enumerate the success of Maska.
MS Raju said: We made super hits like 'Shathruvu', 'Police Lockup', 'Manasantha Nuvve', 'Okkadu', 'Varsham' and 'Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana' on our Sumanth Art Productions earlier. In the line, we made 'Pournami' which was critically acclaimed but did not reap collections. Then, we made 'Aata' which was moderately successful, followed by 'Vana' that became a dud. At this juncture, I was determined to make a hit this Sankrathi, which got fulfilled by 'Maska' released on 14th this month.
I feely highly elated whenever success talk about Maska reaches my knowledge. This is a memorable Sankranthi for me. 'Maska' is heading towards a collection mark of over 10 crores, within 7 days of its screening. It has dignified the production value of Sumanth Arts banner to the height of Himalayas.
We have released it with over 300 prints in 550 theatres. Now within three weeks of time, it has reached the mark of grossing collections which was attained by many earlier super hits in 100days, preens MS Raju.
'Manasantha Nuvve' for Udaykiran, 'Okkadu' for Maheshbabu, 'Varsham' for Prabhas, 'Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana' for Siddharth was milestones in their respective career. Similarly, 'Maska' will be credited for Ram. He became a star with 'Ready and now 'Maska' made him a super star.
On this occasion, the producer expressed his heartfelt thanks to Suresh Babu of Suresh productions, the cast and crew of Maska and specially the viewers who made it a hit.
