Tell us about the other co stars who worked with you I had Surekha who played my sister. The character of my brother-in-law gave his best performance and my hair dresser who is also a great actor. (Bites her tongue) oops! You should watch the movie to find out. If I keep on naming everyone then I will blurt out the whole story. How was it working in the direction of Puri Jagannath? Puri is one talented director. He exactly knows what to do. If I get stuck up in a scene, I will know, Ok, fine I dont know how to give this expression. But he knows how an actor feels and that is the best quality a director should posses. He will come in and just says why dont you just do like this and gives suggestion. We actors do tend to get stuck up yet he brings the best out of everyone. Hes good. Who was Siya before she entered the industry? Before movies, Siya was a psychology student. And she was quite busy in her studies. She was also modeling for college ramp shows which gained her fame. Through that Siya got into commercials and ads. Now, shes a heroine before you. What are your hobbies? I love badminton. I am a champion player. My hobbies are, I love swimming, dancing, singing and all girly things. I like all Barbie girl type things like dressing up, spending hours seeing the mirror, nail painting almost everything. I love everything what a girl adores the most. Being from the north, how did you choose Tollywood over Bollywood? Because, I think Tollywood is more professional and is a respectable industry. The people here give immense respect to women which is an important aspect. But, I dont know how they treat in Bollywood but here it is different and I like it. If they decide that they should finish the movie in four months, they will accomplish the task here. But in Bollywood, they will take months or even a year or two, delaying the process. When the movie comes out after two years, then god knows where I will be. I dont think I could shine in such an environment. How far are your dancing skills? Actually, I am not that good. (Laughs) But, I really try my best and manage to do the steps. South Indian dancing is quite different. So, I am in the learning curve now. I have been bought up in Bombay and quite used to the jatka matka bollywood style of dance but its new and different here with a variation in the beats. Have you got any offers after this movie? I did get a lot of offers but I am waiting for this movie. I am waiting for this day to come in my life for the movies release date with my fingers crossed. Whats your dream role? Every role I do is my dream role. I dont have any particular role like that which would be my dream role. Everything that comes across should be your dream if not you cant perform and live up to it. I take up every role of mine as a challenge and give my best. Do you plan to make your career in Tollywood or in South Indian cinema? Its not about south or north. The role matters a lot than the industry. Even, I have been signed up for a Bengali movie which has a meaty role. If I get the substantial out there why not do it. I want to go out everywhere and I dont want to stop at any language. Language and industry should not be a barrier for an actor. Who is your decision maker before signing up movies? I make all my decisions. It is me who finalize about the movies. Since the start, its like that. My parents bought me up like that since my childhood. My dad always tells me one thing, always take your own decisions because even if you make a mistake, you will know its your own decision. You have made a mistake. I personally feel rather than depending upon some one and keep asking like what will I do mom? dad .?, its better to be on your own. If I make a mistake, I will suffer and learn myself. If someone else makes a decision for me when will I learn, I will never be able to learn. What will the audience enjoy the most in this movie? They will all enjoy the comical skids and the serious scenes which has some amazing dialogues. The scene is about people being more sensible when it comes to love. And its just not like simply running away or dreaming just because we are in love. Its about how we should be face a situation and think practically. These are some kind of things the movie talks about and Ravis dialogue in this scene is splendorous. How is Hyderabad city and its famous Biryani? I am a foodie. I love biryani and I think you can see me on screen to find out how much I love food. I am quite heavy nowadays. I was here shooting, during ramazan, when I got the chance to feast on the special Hyderabadi haleem. It was too good and delicious. Hyderabad rocks with its biryani. Comment about the movie "Neninthe" in a single line. Its all about I me and myself. The movie tells how a person starts his career from the scratch and reaches the place where he is now. And how he doesnt loose hope and give up during the struggle. Its all about one guy who is he, him and himself. I think the title is apt Nenithe. I had a lot of fun being interviewed by indiaglitz.com I wish you all people to enjoy the new year. Keep rocking. |
