At a time when speculations are rife that Rajinikanth would foray into politics, Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani on Wednesday called on Rajinikanth at his house in Chennai and discussed about various issues.

Speaking to reporters, Advani, who was in Chennai for the release of the Tamil translation of his autobiography 'My Country, My Life,' said, "We talked about a lot of things. I told him that I appreciate his public statement in which he said about taking the political plunge at God's call."

When asked Rajini if he had been invited by Advani to campaign for the BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, he said,"Nothing of that sort."

Later, Rajini took part in the book release function at Narada Gana Sabha, where journalist Cho Ramaswamy urged him to enter politics.

No sooner Rajinikanth entered the auditorium he was greeted with a thunderous applause.
