It is a film that heightened the curiosity element of Tamil movie lovers big time. The interesting title and director Bala's unique way of storytelling seemed just perfect for some magnificent entertainment.

The producers of the film, Pyramid Saimira and director Bala unfortunately do not see eye to eye. This has resulted in a further delay to the movie's release. Reports indicate that 'Naan Kadavul' has knocked on the doors of the Producers' Council to settle their disputes.

Sources close to the producers said that they agreed to fund the project with a condition that they would invest Rs 7 crores. But now, director Bala is now demanding Rs 15 crores to complete the film.

However, sources close to Bala have a different version. They said: 'It's Bala's habit to ensure quality and reality in the films he makes. He pumped in his own money to shape up 'Naan Kadavul' in a big way. Now he is asking back what he has invested.'

The movie has been in the making for a long time. Unfortunately, the delay has disappointed film-buffs, who are waiting for the movie.

Starring Arya and Pooja in lead roles, the movie has musical score by Ilayaraja.

Bala's last directorial venture was a long time ago with 'Pithamagan'.
