It's hard when you're addicted to something and that is the very thing you're made to give up. This is what happened to the 'Dil Dosti Etc' girl Nikita Anand, when she was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

The ex-Miss India is a fitness freak and loves to jog. So when she was diagnosed with the disorder that weakens the muscles and causes pain in the ankle, Nikita was devastated. "Jogging is like breathing to me. It is the one activity that makes me feel alive. I can't run now and that's making me feel blue," she laments.

For Nikita, a wafer-thin look isn't attractive at all. She believes in eating well and staying toned and not judging attractiveness on how thin a person is. "It's more about how fit you are in body and mind than about how thin you are. It's about staying healthy. Jogging not only made me healthier but also relieved the stresses of everyday grind," reveals Nikita.

Since the actress has been asked to stay away from jogging, the health enthusiast that she is, Nikita has merely replaced jogging with exercises like weight training and spinning among others. She has also decided to channel more energies into her first love – acting. "It comes as naturally to me as breathing. In fact, I find it better than jogging," she says.

Nikita will soon be seen in Nileish Malhotra's 'Monopoly' and Partho Ghosh's 'Ek Second – Jo Zindagi Badal De'.
