It is nostalgic time for Puneet Rajkumar, his family and the huge fan following of his father Dr. Rajkumar. Puneet, the youngest son of the legendary actor, has signed a film titled 'Mayoora'. His father did a memorable film in the same title in 1975.

Rajkumar’s 'Mayoora' was a historical film, on the 'Mayoora' dynasty in Karnataka. It was one of the super hit movies in his illustrious career. The film starring Dr. Rajkumar, Manjula, Srinath and others is an ever green movie.

Puneet, who born two years after the release of his father’s 'Mayoora', plans to come out with another 'Mayoora' in altogether a different format. The new 'Mayoora' will be a social film, directed by Shoban of Telugu films. Shoban handles the story and the screenplay as well.

Kanakapura Srinivas and Srikanth produce 'Mayoora' under the banner of Best Cinema.

Sandhya and Shradda Arya are the two heroines in the film.

R.P. Patnayak scores the music director and Satya Hegde handles the camera.

The Muhurut of this film is taking place at 'ISKCON' temple in Rajajinagar Bangalore on Friday morning (Dec 14).
