Looks like she is tired of playing roles that are way beyond her actual age. Though Tabu started off like any other actress with glamourous roles, she ended up doing serious roles post films such as Hera Pheri and Maachis.

Tabu has time and again said in her interviews that she would love to do glamourous roles where she will get to prance around and sing and dance.

On the contrary, she has done some extraordinary work in films like Namesake, which showcase her talent but give her an image that is so unlike her real self.

So now, looks like Tabu is trying to do her best to revamp her image and get into mainstream cinema. She appeared wearing a body-clinging dress for the premier of Chiruta and before that did an item number with Chiranjeevi.

Now, she has done a bold shoot for her forthcoming Telugu film Idee Sangati with Abbas.

Though her Telugu fans still remember her from the days of Coolie No 1, her national and international fans would need some time to get used to the ‘new’ Tabu.

Better late than never, as they say!
