Mumtaj inaugurates arts and crafts expo

Chennai these days witnesses a flurry of arts and crafts exhibitions, each unique in its own way. These exhibitions give a face-lift to the hardworking artisans of our country who are abundant with talents.

The National Art and Crafts Fair, conducted hosted by Artisans Welfare Society, was inaugurated by actor Mumtaz on Friday.

This exhibition which showcases an array of traditional crafts from across the country, also has textiles, whitewood and rosewood articles and artifacts, jewellery and accessories, rudraksha and semi-precious stones from Indo-Nepal region, home linen, kitchenware, leather goods and the like, on their display.

The exhibition will go on till 23 March.
