“I want to do meaningful roles and establish myself as an actor who can be trusted by the directors and producers,” says Prasanna.

Busy shooting for Manjal Veyyil, Prasanna says, “I am getting good offers now. The likes of Azhagiya Theeyae and Kanda Naal Muthal have brought a sea change in my career.”

Prasanna's Cheena Thana (a remake of the Malayalam hit CID Moosa) is nearing completion and is ready for release.

According to him, “I play the role enacted by Dileep in the original. It is really nice to work with seasoned artistes like Manivannan, Vadivelu, Ilavarasu and Delhi Ganesh in the movie.”

“If Cheena Thana is a hilarious entertainer, my Manjal Veyyil deals with friendship and love, with college as its backdrop. Sandhya plays my heroine,” he adds.

Having acted with the likes of Prakash Raj, Meera Jasmine and Laila, Prasanna says, “I have learnt several things watching them from close quarters. They include dedication towards one’s profession, passion for meaningful roles and self confidence.”

Prasanna is all set to play the title role in a movie which would have story, screenplay and dialogues by Crazy Mohan.
