It was in December 1998 that Anil Kapoor was last seen without a moustache in some of the scenes of Hrishikesh Mukjerjee's 'Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kaate'.

Now after 8 years, director Nikhil Advani has been able to convince AK to repeat the act by appearing sans a moustache in 'Salaam E Ishq'. While for majority of his portion in the film, he is seen in not just a moustache but even a French beard, towards the second half of his screen time, he shaves it off.

Reason? To project himself as one cool dude who can woo young Anjana Sukhani the same way as other boys of her age group. In fact when he dons this appearance in the film, he even makes a surprise entry in a pub while attired in some cool clothes and gets into an impromptu jig!

Before 'Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kaate', AK had also shaved off his moustache in the initial reels of Yash Chopra's 'Lamhe'.
