Padma Bhushan Chiranjeevi made 2006 a Mega year in his career.
He bagged the prestigious and third highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan by undertaking various social service activities by launching Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust and with the help of his fans in crores in numbers.
He gave vision and life through eye and blood donation programmes undertaken by his fans through his charitable trust. In the same year, he got his daughter Susmitha married on a grand scale, besides held a reception in front of crores of his fans and followers.
Through his film 'Stalin' he sent a message across the society to help three people and ask them to help three others. This humanitarian service did wonders and the film was proved a big hit.
In the same year, Mega brother K Nagendra Babu was elected as president of MAA unanimously. Almost at the end of the year Andhra University had felicitated Chiranjeevi with Kalaprapoorna and awarded him a doctorate. With all such happy events, Mega Star Padmabhushan Dr Chiranjeevi had made 2006 a fruitful year and entered into 2007.
Now, he took up another project, the remake of 'Lago Raho Munnabhai', the sequel of 'Munnabhai MBBS' in Telugu as 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', which has a good message that the present society needed not rowdyism but Gandhiism.
While Vidyabalan, who played in the original Hindi version is making her debut in Telugu, the film is going to be directed by Prabhudeva, who had directed a successful movie like 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana'.
It is learnt that Victory Venkatesh is playing a special role in this film. Devisri Prasad, who gave tunes to the earlier version of 'Shankar Dada MBBS' again wielding the baton for music to this sequel, while Gemini Film Circuits is producing the film.
It is sure that Chiranjeevi will make the 'Shankar Dada MBBS' to hail him as 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' by promoting non-violence. It is sure that the film would keep him on a high pedestal as 'Best Person of the Year' in 2007.
