Mohanlal will begin the New Year with Chotta Mumbai. It’s shooting starts from the first week of January. Mohanlal has allotted 45 days for the film which will be completed in a single schedule. The film which will be the Vishu release of Mohanlal will be an action packed entertainer.

The movie features Lal in the role of Vascodagama, who is a carefree youth. He is cast as a man, who doesn't take his life seriously. The movie to be shot in and around Cochin will have script by Benny Nariyambalam. Director Anwar Rasheed has penned the story for the movie. The director in the company of Mammootty rendered a blockbuster in Rajamanickam. The movie collected huge revenue and set a new trend in Malayalam film industry. Mohanlal fans are hopeful that Anwar Rasheed would repeat the magic with their favorite hero.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is at present in the sets of the 'Sholay' the Hindi film by Ram Gopal Varma. He will arrive by the 28th of this month to complete the shooting of 'Aakaashagopuram' directed by K.P.Kumaran. He will be shooting in the capital city for three days for the film.
