Bhavana is one of the Malayalam heroines, who has managed to establish herself successfully in Tamil film industry.

She is acting in over half-a-dozen movies in Tamil now which include Madhavan's Arya, Bharath starrer Koodal Nagar and director Bala's Naan Kadavul. But Bhavana shuns the media glare.

Asked why she prefers to stay away from spotlight, a frank and outspoken Bhavana, says, 'There are so many magazines and television channels here. Everybody wants to interview me. If I were to oblige to all their requests, I will have to take a long leave from the shooting'.

Bhavana is playing the role of a blind girl in Naan Kadavul. She says, 'Heroines these days have no role to play in a movie. They appear in a couple of scenes and songs and disappear. But I want to do roles that will get recognized and appreciated'.
