Puri to direct Hindi version of 'Pokiri'

'Pokiri' became a sensational hit and rewrote all the records of the 75-year-old Telugu film history.

RGV Company bagged the remake rights of the film in Hindi and Ram Gopal Varma reportedly asked Puri Jagannath to direct that film again.

It is learnt that Varma also asked Mahesh Babu to play the hero in the film. But already Mahesh Babu is busy with several projects and one had to wait and watch whether he would accept the offer or not.

However, Puri Jagannath says, 'I accepted Varma's offer and would launch the Hindi film in 2007.'
