Jayaram's fondness for elephants is known to everyone. In real life also Jayaram has been rearing one, who acted with him in one of hits of late nineties Pattabhishekam. After a short time, Jayaram is now again acting with mammoth tusker in films. His new film titled Aanachandam will feature an elephant as a prominent character.The film tells the story of man who has got much interest in elephants. The film has newcomer Ramya Nambeesan in the female lead role.

National award winning film maker Jayaraj is directing the movie, who has made another hit in the early nineties Kudumbasametham also based on similar subject.The director is under pressure to make it a hit, as his previous releases Rain Rain Come again, Aswaroodan and By the people had did not do well at the box-office.
