Jeyam Ravi was injured while shooting for Deepavali and has been advised to undergo rest for the next days.

The incident occurred when the actor was shooting for Lingusamy’s home production directed by Ezhil in Chennai on Saturday.

Ravi suffered bleeding injuries when a sharp needle accidentally pierced his chest.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and after medication he was advised to take complete rest for the next few days by the doctor.

Ezhil is shooting the film sans the hero now.

Deepavali stars Bhavana opposite Ravi and has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Meanwhile, Ravi’s Something Something Unakkum Yenakkum is gearing for a big release. This feel-good romantic entertainer has the potential to become one of the big hits of the season.

Directed by Raja, Ravi’s brother, the movie stars Trisha as the heroine.

Meanwhile, it has also been learnt that Ravi’s father, Editor Mohan, has decided to make a straight Telugu movie. Starring Ravi as hero, the film will have Raja directing it.
