Vignesh's make or break film Aacharya will finally hit theatres this week-end. Directed by debutant Ravi, an one-time associate of director Bala, Aacharya is a story woven on human emotions.

Ravi says, 'Aacharya is a realistic movie and is based on a real life incident that happened in a remote village in Madurai.' The happenings in the life of a Brahmin, inculcating the ethics of age-old culture in every household is Aacharya, who has moral values to safeguard, said Ravi.

Dwelling further, he says, 'The movie is about a pious Brahmin youth, who is compelled by circumstances to wield the knife'.

Says Vignesh, 'Having been impressed by the script, I decided not to accept any other offer until Aacharya is released. The movie has shaped up in such a way that it would make it to the top. A real attempt which deserves a pat on our back'.

The other credits are: M Rajavelu (cinematography); A C Pillai (art); Prakash (stunt); Muthukumar (lyrics) and Suresh Urs (editing).
