The verdict is still out Asthram, the Vishnu-Anshuka starrer.

But the verdict on Jackie Shroff's performance in the movie as a singer is already out. And it has got all the right words.

Jackie played a consummate classical singer who is actually helping a arms running group. It was a role that the peerless Naseeruddin Shah made famous in Hindi.

Jackie, despite the problems of language, has turned in a good show in Asthram.

And naturally he is happy for that. Jackie is awe-struck by the kind of passion that Telugu people have for their films. The respect that actors like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mohanbabu, Balakrishna get is unimaginable for actors in Mumbai, he says.

Jackie is impressed with the work culture here. He says he wants to do more Telugu movies. 'If the script is right, why not?'
