Sarath Kumar had a close brush with fate.

Sarath Kumar, however, escaped with minor injuries when a overcrowded stage on which he was addressing a meeting of his fans association collapsed in Tuticorin on Saturday night.

The stage collapsed as around 50 persons occupied it at the time of the incident, agency reports said.
