This week it is going to be hectic as three movies are set to storm the theaters.

The verb ‘storm’ is actually used only for effect. For, what we are going two witness is two outright dubbed ventures, one remake and another experimental venture. So big marquee release will be some time later.

The biggest release will be Rajasekhar’s Raja Babu. This remake of Malayalam hit Balettan (starring Mohanlal) is a syrupy sentimental movie. Directed by Muppalaneni Siva --- a favorite of Rajasekhar --- Raja Babu is Rajasekhar’s yet another attempt at remake. Like Sisyphus he has been trying forever. For sheer perseverance he may succeed. The film stars Sri Devika as the heroine.

Priyadarshini Ram’s Manodu is another of the releases. This offbeat venture has everyone in suspense. Bharath is the hero.

Mahashivarathri, a dubbed version of Kannada hit, starring Rajendra Prasad and Meena will be one of the releases. It hopes to cash in on the fervor for Sivarathri.

Then there is Hi Subramanyam, a dubbed venture from Tamil starring Sriram and Arthi Agarwal and Namitha.
