One of the interesting films that will hit the screens shortly is Andala Ramudu.

For one, it stars Sunil, the comedian is hero. For another, Arthi Agarwal, on a bid to regain her old glory is the heroine.

This remake of Sundara Purushan from Tamil is being directed by debutant Lakshmi Narayana alias Deepti.

Produced by Super Good Films, Andala Ramudu is not a faithful remake of the Tamil original. As the director says there has been lot of innovations and additions to choose the local flavor and feeling. In other words, there will be plenty of nativity. Ramesh-Gopi’s extra comedy dialogues would be an extra attraction.

Sunil, the unit hands say, is having a wonderful time. Though he is the hero, it is just an extension of his essential nature --- of being funny and comical.

Arthi, who is doing the role done by Rambha in the Tamil original, is also comfortable in the role. She is at ease playing a character who is uncomfortable with intense love.

On the whole Andala Ramudu promises plenty.
