Vidyasagar is a happy man these days. The reason for that is not only he won the national award for best music director but also got the opportunity to work with Karunanidhi in Paasakiligal.

He says, 'this year has been very lucky so far. I won the national award for the best music composer and also had the fortune of scoring music for songs penned by M Karunanidhi for the movie Pasakiligal'.

On his experiences working with Karunanidhi, Vidyasagar says, 'since my childhood, I had a great liking for Karunanidhi and admired his writing skills. I was thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to compose music for three songs penned by Karunanidhi in Paasakiligal'.

A simple man, he wanted me to compose the tunes first and later took his time to write the lyrics for the same. He appreciated the tunes and gave excellent songs. I would relish the experience for the rest of my life, says Vidyasagar.
