Actress Suhasini, who created a stir by making remarks supporting Kushboo recently, on Tuesday expressed regrets to the Nadigar Sangam for whatever has happened.

It may be recalled that Kushboo’s interview to a weekly on pre-marital sex led to protests and condemnations from various groups in the State and several cases were registered against her.

A few days ago, taking part in a film festival, Suhasini said that protests against Kushboo’s remarks were a disgrace to Tamils.

Several political leaders and Tamil organizations pounced on Suhasini’s words and hit the streets in protest.

Nadigar Sangam also took Suhasini to task. It's general secretary Sarath Kumar not only condemned Suhasini but also sought an explanation from her.

Suhasini has sent a letter to the Nadigar Sangam on Tuesday explaining her position and remarks.

In her letter, Suhasini has said that whatever she has said should affect only her and not anybody in the artistes’ association. ‘This should be seen as a bad dream and the problems should end at the earliest,’ she added.
