At a time when only micro-minis and global-faces dominate our films, it is nice to hear that some homely ones are also getting into the thick of it.
Sandhya is one name that is making all the right splashes in Telugu.
This typical Tamil face has won over the Telugu audience with her simple looks and solid acting style in Premiste. She was very convincing in that role of young lover, caught between her passion and parental pressure.
Now, Sandhya after wowing the audience seems to have impressed the Tollywood mandarins.
The news is that she is all set to do her first direct Telugu film.
Reports have it that she has been taken on board by Super Good Films that is remaking its Tamil hit Tirupachi in Telugu.
The film will star Pawan Kalyan in the lead.
Sandhya will play sister to Pawan, it is learnt. The sister character is pivotal to the script, it is on her the film revolves.
So it seems Sandhya has one more chance to impress the Telugu fans.
