The year is veering to a close and the race for the top actress is hotting up.

Leading the list is Charmi, the young Punjabi lass, who is a hot ticket in Tollywood.

Her recent release Allari Pidugu, once again shows that she can hold herself well in the face of competition.

The smart girl coolly put to shade the gawky, though beautiful, Katerina Kaif. It again underlined the rising confidence in the young actress.

In Political Rowdy, Charmi, in micro minis and itsy-bitsy dresses, she oozed cool glamour and also sturdy acting talent. ‘Confidence and ease matter to me while playing a role,’ she says.

After Anukokunda Oka Roju, under Chandrasekhar Yeleti, she has matured as a performer.

But she is also the first to agree that ‘I have a long way to go. But the thing is I am going there. And that is important’.

The Hindi girl has now made Hyderabad her’s own and is comfortable with Telugu.

Currently she is doing films like Style starring Lawrence, Prabhu Deva and Raja, Chukkallo Chandrudu with Siddarth, M S Raju’s Pournami starring Prabhas and in Lakshmi opposite Venkatesh.

A big list indeed.
