Director Perarasu is a relaxed man waiting for the release of his much expected Sivakasi starring Vijay on Deepavali.

Speaking about the movie at the audio launch of Sivakasi in Chennai on Monday, Perarasu said, 'it would be a racy entertainer. A perfect seat-edge thriller. Quite typical to my debut venture,Thirupachi, the screenplay is set at a fast pace'.

Asked about the storyline, the director said, 'Vijay plays a welder in the movie and Prakashraj his brother. It is a movie all about mother-son sentiment with all necessary commercial ingredients.'

Sivakasi stars Asin opposite Vijay while Nayantra appears for an item number.

A visibly happy Rathnam, who has produced Sivakasi, says, 'the movie would certainly open in a big way and collect more at the box office. Perarasu has in him the necessary stuff to bring women folk to theatres'.
