The moment a flick becomes a hit in one language it is quickly up for grabs in other languages for remake.

This is almost the unwritten rule these days.

Almost all of the films successful in Telugu are now being remade in Tamil.

Varsham is Mazhai. NVNV is Something,Something...

The more recent hits like Bhadra is being remade with Simbu as hero. He had earlier worked on another remake of Ravi Teja's Idiot.

Kalyan Ram Atanokkade is being remade as Aadhi with Vijay and Trisha in the lead.

Now the surprise is that why is Athadu, which is a passable hit in Telugu, is still up for grabs.

Mahesh Babu's films, if you know, always have a good remake market. His Okkadu was remade as Gili and was a runaway hit. Even his anemic Arjun was remade.

So it is a surprise that Athadu is still unpicked. Rumors insist that there have been takers and the film may soon be remade in Tamil with a popular hero.

Well, the form-book holds true.
