Vikram has a special affinity for Telugu films.

During his days of struggle, it is the Telugu film industry that offered him a couple of films. And to till this day he remembers that.

And in Andhra, even his dubbed ventures have a very good market (for proof refer Aparichitudu or Sivaputrudu).

The National-award winning actor is in fact committed to a Telugu film early next year (is it with Gunasekhar?).

With so much happening around, it is natural that Vikarm's next Tamil film Mazaa is being dubbed in Telugu by the original producer Rock line Venkatesh.

Vikram, who is in Hyderabad these days for the shoot of the film, is naturally upbeat about this all-out entertainment film.

Mazaa is a remake of a Malayalam hit Thommanum Makkalum directed by Shafi MeCartin, who is also directing the remake.

Vikram is happy doing such a film after the heavyweight Aparichitudu. "It is a conscious decision. The light-hearted lark of film has the message of happiness," he says with obvious happiness.

The film is almost over and is set for Deepavali release both here and Tamil Nadu.

Asin plays the heroine Seethalaxmi while National award-winning Vidyasagar, who is Vikram's favorite, plays the music.

Vikram says the film has a rural background and it will be identifiable by all audiences in the South.

The crew and cast were here for a song shoot in Hyderabad.

Hope the team has something to sing and dance about after the film's release.
