There are plenty of rumors floating around Vijayakanth these days.

One is that he may give up acting after he gets into politics. The other is he is planning to quit his post in the Nadigar Sangam.

But the actor has asserted that he would continue to lead the Nadigar Sangam.

'Captain' said one should not confuse Nadigar Sangam with politics. Office bearers of various political parties have come together in Nadigar Sangam.

"Moreover, I have dedicated to serve thousands of families whose members are part of our Nadigar Sangam".

Vijayakanth further said, 'efforts are being taken to ensure a permanent income for the Sangam which would be utilized for the welfare of its members. A website would be started soon for this purpose.
