Sundar C`s Chandrakala` was a horror-comedy that went on to get audience`s laurels in Telugu as much as in Tamil. Aranmanai 2, the film`s sequel, is set for release on Jan 29 in Telugu. The dubbed version's rights have been acquired at a premium price by Sarvanthram Creations and Good Friends Cinema Group (of 'Ee Rojullo', 'Romance' fame) and the same has been titled as 'Kalavathi'

The film stars Siddharth, Trisha, Sundar C, Hansika Motwani, Poonam Bajwa, Soori and others. Hiphop Tamizha has composed the music.

"We are very confident that the film will shake up the BO. We will promote our film aggressively. The audience will be mesmerized by the wonderful graphic. Kalavathi is twice as entertaining as Chandrakala. Hiphop's music will be released in the third week of this month," the makers said.

"This is the fourth film releasing on our banner. Censor members have given us a positive feedback. We are releasing the film on a grand scale in 500 to 600 theatres on Jan 29. We have already made profit. There is a bungalow set worth Rs. 4 cr. Sundar C is a sure-shot hit director who has worked with the likes of Rajinikanth and Kamal," the producer said.
