Close on the heels on chopping a song in Kamal Haasan's Mumbai Xpress, the Censor Board has denied permission for a duet song featuring Srikanth and Gopika in Kana Kanden. The film has been completed and is slated for release early next month.

When the producer Thenappan and director K V Anand approached the Censor Board to certify the trailer for the movie, the jury after seeing through the rushes has decided to cut that song, the picturization of which they feel is obscene.
