With no opposition against Chandramukhi except for a stray comment that the title is Sanskrit and not Tamil. The fans of Tirupur were surprised to see their hero’s posters defaced with tar.

The fan clubs in the textile hub decided to pool in their own money under the name of Godman Rajnikanth’s people service society printed posters with stills of Chandramukhi and pasted them on the walls of the bus stand, and street walls.

The next day morning they found all the posters defaced with tar. The town people suspected PMK behind it and termed it old rivalry.

Finally the cat was out of the bag when the fan club president filed a police complaint stating that inter group rivalry in the fan club had led to the poster defacing. The police have filed a FIR.
